Another shot at Christmas pictures

So I really wanted a Santa picture this year to send out, but she cried the whole time, I did get a picture for keepsake, but it was not one I wanted to send out... So I took her to the Opera House here in St. George to do some snap shots. She is such a turkey sometimes, she was not going to look at the camera no matter what, and when she did, well I couldn't get her to smile. I'm sure being that it was 50 degree's didn't have anything to do with it, I normally have her all bundled up, but that just wasn't going to look good in the picture...

Mom's and what they do for pictures... I did end up with some cute one's but I'm not posting those as they are going to be sent out for Christmas... This picture on the bridge, poor thing, I'm taking the photo's and she just starts to shiver, I think that was my que, we were both really cold by then, so I hurried to the car and got her bundled up... Hopefully next year will go better...

Can we say Chocolate...

Well I went to the mall for her to sit on Santa's lap, and this year of course she did not like it one bit, cried the whole time... Well after all that, they gave us this free sucker from See's Candies. I had no idea it was going to be this messy, and I forgot a bib, and she was not about to let me take it away so what do you do... Oh the lessons we learn as we go, luckily it all came out in the wash...

Change is good Right...

Scott and I are off to a new adventure in our Marriage, we are moving to Orem Utah in February... He has a new job with Eskco Windows http://www.eskco.net/ and they are going to be opening a show room in Park City, Scott will be the Only Salesman for the Northern part of the state and he will focus on Park City and the surrounding areas...We feel very fortunate to have this opportunity for our family during these ecomonic times. We hope that this will be the last move for our family and we can make Orem our home... It is bitter sweet as we have loved living in St George, and we know so many people, and have so many friends, and I will miss my family dearly. We have lived here for over 15 years and feel like we are a real part of the community, and lets not forget the Weather... Oh how I'll miss that. They say change is good and it will be good to be close to Scott's family and our other relatives near by. It will be fun to get back into Skiing and I can't wait for Kenzie to learn, it will also be nice to go to the Zoo or Jazz game and not have to make it a weekend trip. We hope that any of you who are passing by on your way to Salt Lake will feel free to call us and stop in, we would love to visit... We will miss all of you, and when we come down to visit My family, we will make sure to stop in and say hello...

Thanksgiving

I couldn't let this day pass without giving Thanks...
I'm so thankful for the Country I live in and the Freedoms it provides.
I'm so thankful for the family and friends we have in our lives.
I'm so thankful for having a best friend as my husband.
I'm so thankful for being able to be Kenzie's mom - I just love her.
I'm so thankful for the gospel (Latter Day Saint) in my life and the peace and comfort it gives me.
I'm so thankful for my husband having a good job, food on our table and a roof over our heads, as so many are struggling to even have that.
May god bless you all...

Kenzie " Moments"

Loves when her dad comes home, they have so much fun together...

she was so funny the other day, I was vacuuming and all the sudden I notice she is picking up this racket(I guess her pretend vacuum) and she started vacuuming with me, it was so funny... Oh I just love her.

She is so cute, if I'm not reading to her, she will just take a book and look at the pictures - We read books at least 20 times a day... Which I love that she loves to read and loves books, so cute...

I hope this habbit sticks, I would love her to grow up and love to read and love learning...

Halloween 2008

Well this is how it all started, Kenzie was not happy to say the least... as you can see by her tears, she did not want to change her clothes and get dressed up... poor girl!!!

by this time there was no more glitter on her checks or eyes it had all been washed off by tears... Oh makes you sad!!!

Dads home so things are starting to look up, as she is a daddy's girl, but we wouldn't have it any other way!

She loved this ballon and so much more, but our Camera died right when we got there. So these are all the shots we got, but she did smile, and had a great time, so far I think she loves Halloween althougth, she may be like her mom and could go without the dressing up part.

We didn't get a picture of this, but there was a dog there like our dog (bo who died this past summer) and it was so cute, she must have remembered him, because she just kept going over to him and giving him big hugs, this happened 3-4 times so sweet...

Ouch...

Oh we felt bad, Kenzie fell and hit her lip on our cabinet and it was bleeding, then of course it got swollen... Poor kid, she wouldn't let me put ice on it, so I got out a popsicle for her to suck on, and it worked the next day most of the swelling was gone and she was happy to have something sweet and cold. It was a Sad Day, but the good news is her teeth are just fine...

At the Park

I went to a fun park the other day.Kenzie had lots of fun, although I seem to always miss when she is smiling...

She was trying to figure these out, they are used to climb a wire but she was to small for it.
She seemed to like this lady bug swing.
She actually climbed this wall with a little help from mom, so I was unable to take any pictures...

As promised...

I promised pictures of Kenzie at gymnastics so here they are: Although she was not having a good day she was teething and very grouchy... she has 5 more classes it has been really fun for both of us.

Dad lifting me up so I can reach (she was suppose to swing on the rings and opted to do this instead)

She loves these bars - they are suppose to try and walk on these with all fours, but she loves to see if she can balance herself on them, crazy kid...

She loves crawling through the tunnels....

I missed getting this shot, but she had both hands and feet on the upper bar, I was really proud of her, she really enjoyed this one...

Another Look...

Ok so on my last post, I feel I was a bit to pessimistic, so I decided to go back and take another look at Halloween...

I do love Halloween music
Scary Movies
Hautned house's

So I guess the part I don't like is dressing up, candy and Halloween decorations.

Thanks for everyone who helped me vote on my daughters costume, many wanted the Lady bug - which was really cute, although I think we are going with the fairy, mainly because I don't have to buy as much to go with it as I already have the items needed (tights, glitter, white top etc). It will be fun to see Kenzie this year, last year she was fascinated with all the costumes so this year I'm hoping she will still feel that way and not be scared.

Ugh... Halloween

Most people like Halloween, oh not me though... It has never been a holiday that I have liked, but now that we have Kenzie, we have to do the costume and the whole bit. I want her to grow up knowing what Halloween is all about, and when she is older she can decide if it's a holdiay she likes or not. I have looked around at some costume's and can't decide what to do- so please vote and help me out. Also if any of you have any good ideas about a costume that is cheap and cute... Please let me know.

I Stand Amazed...

I often find my self these days amazed at the life I have, to some it may not seem all that much, but to me I truly have riches... Scott and I have been married for over 13 years and in looking back at our journey we have both come so far, but lately I have noticed the growth my husband has had. He truly is a honorable man and I'm so grateful everyday that he is in my life. He takes such pride in supporting us and providing for us, he Loves Kenzie and is the best dad to her, it is such a comfort to know that she will be so close to him and that he will always do his best for her and me. I have came to know that marriage is a wonderful hard journey that is so worth all the stuggles. You truly become a better person and each year you find things about yourself and realize all that you can accomplish as long as you accomplish it together. I feel marriage is about Commitment, Love, Forgivness, Faith and Trust not only with each other but you also have to include God in that process as really he is the strenght and light of your being. I'm so grateful for the gospel in my life, it brings such peace and joy to my heart. I just have such joy today and wanted to share.

Melt Down...

Well Kenzie had a meltdown over these balls... We went to gymnastics and they had 3 of these balls which they were to pick up and through into a bowl, little did I know this would send my daughter into orbit. She didn't want to part with them, it then became a struggle to share with the others and luckly it was towards the end of the class because she ended up crying until we left and all the way home... What do you do? she has a little temper and is not afraid to show it... I felt bad she got so upset, luckly I had a sucker at home which if all else fails it's my saving grace... I gave her that and she suddenly stopped and smiled... Little Turkey!!!

The Wait is over...

The wait if over, last night was the start of the season for NCIS, It was really good, looks like my team is back together and Oh I can't wait for my other shows to start. I know TV but I only really like about 4 shows so not bad... anyway this helps me get ready for fall...

It's the little things...

You can't really tell but this is Kenzie giving me a grunt noise(which is the sound of a dog) to her anyway, and she thinks every animal makes that noise, so everytime we see birds, cats anything she makes these two little grunt noises, it is so funny and way cute...

This was the first time Kenzie let us put her sunglasses on. I love them but right after this picture she pulled them right off and I can't get them back on...

Kenzie loves putting Dads tie on and walking around with it, she is so funny she will take his hats and wear them, somtimes tries to fit into his shoes... I gues she misses him or something while he is at work, or she is going to be a cross dresser. I don't know which, although I'm hoping it's the missing him part... anyway its pretty cute...

24th of July

We went up to Grandpa and Grandma Belnaps for the 24th and these two are peas in a pod... They both love to read and it was so cute to watch them look thru a book together...

Kenzie was so funny, her cousin Bailei had this lawnmower and Kenzie was in love with the noise it made when the little pebbles would pop up as it mowed and made a (popcorn) sound... anyway she followed her around for probably 20 minutes then it was her turn, and she never let it out of her sight after that. She played with this for 2 hours or more, she is a riot...and doesn't share very good yet...

This was also a suprise party for one of Scott's aunts it was her 60th and she was surprised, it was fun to be apart of that... we were able to see some family we had not seen in a long time. no fireworks for us though as Kenzie goes to bed before they go off so maybe next year...

My first Reunion

Kenzie got to experience her first family Reunion and she really had a great time. Here she is with Grandpa Belnap and her cousin Katelyn showing off there little sun hats...

She got to go swimming with dad and didn't know what to think about all that water. She really wanted to swim by herself, not yet realizing she will not stay afloat...

Kenzie and her cousin Katelyn made sure they tasted every rock at our camp site, although us mom's were not that impressed with there new love of rocks...

After she would get pooped out from walking around, she always got a ride from dad on his shoulders, and everyday we had to go check out the 4 wheeler, she is really getting to like it and all the little gagets that go with it...
This was a fun week for us, it is always nice when you can enjoy family and relax in the country, especially when you get to stay in a cabin... at least for me as I'm not much of a camper...
