Kenzie Just made me laugh today, we were putting clothes away and she came across one of her washclothes, and next thing I know she is trying to clean her legs and arms with it, then she tries to clean her shoes and moves to cleaning the walls and furniture, Oh so cute...

Kenzie loves to carry around bags, she is so funny, I think I will have to get her a purse when she's two. She loves sticking her tongue out also, and I just love her smile, with or without teeth.

Kenzie's 1st birthday

Kenzie had her 1st birthday about a month ago- but I just got the pictures loaded so wanted to share, she has a cousin Katelyn that is 10 days younger, and they were able to celebrate it together. They both had a really good time, Kenzie wasn't quite sure of the cake she took some licks and then wanted the frosting off her hands (thats my girl...)

Can we just say Worst Mom Award...

Well I decided yesturday to take Kenzie to the little kid river park by the library, so (1st mistake) of many... Don't go alone if you have kids under 2... so we got there, I was really excited as I thought she would love the water, which she did, however, because (I'm blonde or just a new mom)which ever fits, I thought oh I'll have time to take off my shoes when I get there as I wore Tenny shoes, (2nd mistake...) Oh no she was off and going, so here I went, now getting my shoes and lower pants wet... Can we say Duh!!! anyway, it was fun to watch her in the water, she noticed her shadow and it was so cute. So that was the hightlight, I was by myself and she was on one end while my bag was on the other- the nervouse person I am, I keep bringing her back to were my bag was as I didn't want it to get stolen, only to have her scream out loud at the top of her lungs while I was moving her, once I would set her down, oh she was just fine went right back to were she was. Oh the drama... So I finally thought I'll just move her to the big fountian, as there was no little kids there and I thought she'll like that, Oh yes she scream the whole way there ( who knows what all the other moms and dads were thinking) Do I care- not really... (3rd mistake)The reason why there are no little kids at the big fountain... is because it is so slippery, so yes she fell twice, Hello Mom... anyway, I had to stand by her and by this time were both soaking wet. Well after about what seemed like 15 minutes but was more like 5 minutes, I had, had enough so I picked her up to put her towel on and go, and yes you guessed it screamed all the way to the car and all the way home. She sure knows how to tell her mom off when she wants too... (were did she get that temper from) Oh yes that would be me...

Best Friend

Well we knew it would come one day, our Dog Bo was put to rest on Tuesday and it was hard, he had developed Arthritis in his hips and was in a lot of pain. He was no longer able to run or play catch or get in the truck, so it really was for the best.

We got bo ( labrador) in Sept of 97 so over 11 years- Scott will have a hard time duck hunting this year without him. However we will not be getting a new dog for quit some time, as our daughter Kenzie will keep us pretty busy and entertained.

This may be TMI - for some... No one ever Told Me!

The best part about being a Parent

some one loves you no matter what and looks past all your faults.
you have sheer joy in your heart from there little smiles and big accomplishments (starting to talk, learning to walk, feeding themselves etc).
you are the only one that can comfort them when they are hurt or scared.
There is no better feeling then when they give you a tight hug.
you get to share in this little person's life and watch them learn and grow almost overnight it seems.
you can't believe that you were apart of making something so wonderful and innocent and pure.
Then you thank your Heavenly Father for giving you this wonderful gift everyday!

What is your problem

My war with Chocolate- I think I'm losing.

I'm currently trying to lose weight and gez, can I just get over that the chocolate will be here when I'm done. I swear if I could just somehow convience my brain that the food I want today (and yes I've already met my calorie quota) will be here tomorrow... but until then, my butt will grow and I guess that gives me more pleasure right now then giving up the food I love. Sick!
